About the Partnership

NextGen is proud to partner with United Latinos Sacramento. The United Latinos Green Team is building a network of neighbors, churches, and civic groups to advocate for better environmental policies that can improve air quality conditions in low-income neighborhoods designated environmental justice zones by the local air quality management district. Families in these neighborhoods are highly impacted by asthma and other chronic health issues exacerbated by high concentrations of air pollution.

Through our partnership, United Latinos assembled and is distributing 100 emergency indoor air filters for vulnerable families in Sacramento, and they have purchased South Sacramento’s first professional-grade air quality monitor, so that residents can have accurate information about the local levels of toxic air pollution in their communities.
