Student Debt Crisis

Our partnership’s activation of student borrowers providing testimony at legislative public hearings, calling, tweeting and writing to their legislators has resulted in the passage of the California Student Borrower Bill of Rights – the first of its kind piece of legislation in the nation. We are both committed to providing real-time assistance to student borrowers and provide reliable information and free resources to help those with student debt get a handle on their student loans. We’ve worked together to help hundreds of Californians across the state with their student loans through in-person and online workshops, NextGen Policy’s annual Free My Future student debt summit and free online toolkits and resources.
