Jamie Pew is NextGen Policy’s Policy Advisor and a key member of our Climate 100 budget advocacy team. His primary areas of focus include: the climate, equity, and economic justice impacts of California’s transportation and land use policies.
Before joining NextGen, Jamie was a graduate student and researcher at the University of Michigan. While working towards his master’s degree in climate policy, Jamie conducted research on local stormwater infrastructure planning in the Gulf Coast. He also worked as a climate policy intern with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning.
Jamie holds both a B.A. in Political Science and an M.S. in Climate Policy from the University of Michigan. He grew up in New Jersey, is a semi-retired rower, and spends his free time biking, reading, and finding any excuse to be near the water.
