Audrey Schlotter

Policy Intern

Audrey Schlotter is a Policy Intern at NextGen Policy, where she supports the education and climate teams through research, legislative tracking, and coalition engagement. She helps advance policies focused on equitable access to education and sustainable climate solutions.

Audrey recently graduated with a degree in Public Policy and a minor in Sociology from Oregon State University. She served as OSU’s Student Body President during the 2024–2025 academic year, representing over 23,000 students and leading efforts around student access, well-being, and fiscal transparency. Audrey organized and led a statewide Higher Education Lobby Day at the Oregon Capitol, bringing together students from public universities and community colleges to advocate for increased higher education funding in a state ranked 46th nationally. She currently serves as the Director of External Relations for the Coalition for Student Wellbeing, where she continues her work in student advocacy, with a focus on student mental health.

Before attending OSU Audrey obtained her associates degree from Spokane Community College and is an avid supporter of community and technical colleges. Outside of work, Audrey enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and exploring local coffee shops.
