Marikit Mayeno

Policy Fellow

Marikit Mayeno is a Policy Fellow who assists with bill and budget tracking, policy analysis, coalition partner communications, and more. Her policy areas of emphasis are climate solutions and racial equity. Currently, she assists with outreach on the Cap-and-Invest Program. 

She previously worked as a Food and Farming Coordinator at the Ecology Center in Berkeley and as an instructor at an affordable housing program. She continues to conduct community outreach with Urban Strategies Council for the Oakland General Plan, an urban planning land-use framework for the city.

Marikit has a Bachelor’s degree from The New School in Interdisciplinary Science, Fine Arts, and Religious Studies. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, making art, reading, and going to the beach.
