Take Action to Support Nursing Students in CA
California faces the third largest nursing shortage in the country, with projections estimating a deficit of 61,000 nurses by 2033. AB 2301 directly addresses California’s nursing shortage by expanding the pipeline of BSN-prepared nurses in regions of the state that need it most – the Inland Empire and Central Valley. The pilot program created by this bill will provide a more accessible, low-cost educational training program alternative for nursing students working towards their BSN as well as help build a stronger healthcare system in California.
Email Governor Newsom and ask him to prioritize regional solutions to the state’s nursing shortage by signing AB 2301 into law.
