We need to get to the bottom of what’s going on here, and if oil companies won’t cooperate voluntarily, the state and appropriate federal authorities should use whatever powers are available to them to get some answers. This kind of price volatility and lack of transparency on the part of oil companies hurts all Californians, especially our lowest-income residents. That’s why it is critical to get answers now, and to accelerate equitable action to end our dependence on these corporations once and for all.”
