Statement from NextGen California’s Executive Director, Arnold Sowell Jr.:

“The NextGen team is incredibly disheartened by the results of the Presidential Election – clearly, this was not the outcome we hoped for,” said Arnold Sowell Jr., Executive Director of NextGen California. “The way forward will present many challenges, requiring the unifying and collective bonds of partnership as well as the unwavering clarity and commitment to purpose to overcome – but overcome we must.

Rest assured, that NextGen stands ready to navigate these waters, and we remain firmly steadfast in our mission to build a more equitable and prosperous future for all – a future where every individual has the freedom and is empowered to pursue their dreams. We promise to work even harder and with even more resolve to defend those who will be most negatively impacted by the divisive policies the next Administration has previewed on the campaign trail. Together, we will persevere in the face of these threats and continue to uplift the voices of and make progress for our nation’s front line communities.”
