Making college more affordable and accessible for all Californians!

NextGen has a proven track record to address the high cost of higher education and help ensure high school students access financial aid. Through an equity lens, our efforts focus on low-income students and students of color to reshape policies and reform the narrative of who is the “traditional student.”

$550 million – In free, federal and state financial aid will be more accessible to CA students through FAFSA/CADAA completion

150,000 – More CA students will be able to access Cal Grants, state financial aid

133,000 – More CA Community College students will receive a Cal Grant

35% – Annual increase in community college transfers to CSU and UC through the CA Community Colleges bold Vision for Success

40% – Unemployed students being served at Cal Bright, the online community college
