Tell Governor Newsom to fund anti-racism efforts in California

SB 17 (Senator Pan) creates the Office of Racial Equity (ORE) and declares racism a public health crisis — the first statewide effort to identify and dismantle racism in state policies and programs. This bill would also establish the Racial Equity Advisory and Accountability Council (REAAC) so that moving forward, state government agencies enact policy decisions that are anti-racist.

Right now, we’re urging Governor Newsom to fund these critical offices to move our state in a more equitable direction — send his office an email and join our effort.
