  1. The Public Policy Institute of California examines policy interventions to improve economic opportunity: investments, partnerships, removing barriers.
  2. Inadequate health coverage and lack of nutrition can be harmful to children’s development. According to the California Budget and Policy Center, 334,000 children lacked health coverage in 2019. Another report from CBPC says 1 in 4 households with children do not have enough food to eat.
  3. Brennan Center talks about the efforts behind getting parolees the right to vote.  Prop 17 was endorsed by over 400 prominent individuals and organizations who together helped restore the right to vote to as many as 50,000 citizens. Data shows that of those whose voting rights have been restored, 43% are Latino and 26% are black.
