Samantha Seng, Student Loan Debt Workshop

As millions of Californians struggle under the combined weight of student loan debt and the economic shocks caused by COVID-19,  Time is running out to pass AB 376 (Stone), the Student Borrower Bill of Rights. AB 376 (Stone) establishes the Student Borrower Bill of Rights which will ensure that student borrowers are given reliable information, quality customer service, and meaningful access to repayment and forgiveness programs. This bill also establishes the Student Borrower Ombudsman position in order to provide timely assistance to any student loan borrower facing issues with their loan.
